So I was in La Jolla (North of San Diego) for the weekend and stopped into the "Thomas D Mangelsen's - Images of Nature" gallery. He's an amazing nature photographer and is exactly what I wish I could be (as a photographer). Thomas happened to be there (he has 16 galleries across the country so it was a pretty lucky day) and I got to talk to him. As I'm leaving the place I relaize I have a T-shirt on that says "Chick Magnet"

Thomas is one photographer I truly admire and I'm hard pressed to find a photo of his that I don't love. When I found out Thomas was at the gallery I was so excited to meet and talk to him... but when we actually introduced ourselves all I could say was how great it was to meet him, I was speechless. (And most people who know me might find that hard to believe) :-)
It was truly an honor to meet him and his work is so inspiring. I probably felt about the same way as Louddog when he noticed my 20D hanging around my neck. |
