I think this is a great idea. I bought my latest camera from another DPCer and I think as many people upgrade, they wouldn't mind selling their old stuff to people they can trust. :) I am very please with my purchase. :)

I think it would be a good idea and could help some people out with a good deal on a good camera, but Im sure there will have to be some pretty cut and dry rules about selling stuff here. Im sure DPC does not want to be held liable for any transactions that go bad.
Im not saying we have bad people here, but i know DPC would not want to be held liable or want to be caught in the middle of a deal gone south and try to fix it.

| maybe some sort of place to post current ebay auctions for photography equipment you have to sell? that way ebay is responsible for the transaction instead of dpc, but you still get to buy from someone you "know" |

I think a disclaimer would be all that is required. This is a bbs after all, DPC is neither the vendor nor the purchasers, its just a means to bring people together, like a newspaper. To be able to hold DPC liable is like suing the supermarket if you buy a car from a posting on the board there and it goes bad.

true....very true.... but there is always one bad apple in the barrel. and in this day and age of lawsuite happy people..you gotta cover your bases.
