An engineer-photographer in the Netherlands has built a portable laser-triggered platform for capturing insects in flight. The resulting pictures are quite spectacular. |

the japaneese will eventually miniturize the thing, sell it for tens of thousands of dollars, and all the macros we see of insects will now be easier than ever.

Want a challenge? Try and capture the same images without a flash.

People will be amazed at the stuff people can build buying most of the parts at Radio Shack. You just have to know what you need because most of the employees will not know or don't want to know.
