I was wondering how much space was allotted for DPCPrints. My current understanding that I infer is that you can simply fill up your portfolio in DPC.

I was also wondering if a new and improved version of a challenge entry could be submitted, and even replace an older version. I infer that this cannot be done, though I probably have the option of submitting a second version in my portfolio. Right?

Thanks in advance!

You have 10mb in your portfolio for the viewable images you post. Entries DO NOT COUNT. The hi-res files you upload for printing DO NOT COUNT -- only the preview images to which they are linked. If you are uploading images only for your own printing, not for viewing or comment, just upload a tiny thumbnail to which you can link the printable file -- no one has to judge that one.

Make the printable version of your entry the "new improved" version. When people look at the portfolio they will see the original entry, but if they go to your print store they will see a new preview generated from the printable file.

My understanding is the same - and that the portfolio image is what's counted, though you can upload a 'printable' version - so if you can get away with 100kb for your portfolio, you can create a LOT of files, then upload printable versions "behind" each one - and use loads of space.

Yes, you must submit a second version in your portfolio (like I've done with the Gastown Steam Clock (Time Challenge) to make it b/w instead of that duotone/sepia version.

Thanks. I've got a few photos up now, so it's very exciting!

Will you be doing printable versions of your challenge entries? :) Eventually I want one shot from everyone I'm fairly familiar with - can't wait to see what I get from you. ;)

I'm sure I'll do a few of them...
