Actually, that's a useless POST. To make a useless "comment" you need to click on somebody's image and comment upon it. If youw ant to be REALLY useless, comment on your own images LOL. Those still count as 'comments made".

And Scott, just "in case" let me stress that my statements re: the "value" of this new thing of yours aren't meant to run it down at all; in fact I think it's pretty cool. I just wanted to be sure people realize that gaining a high ranking in this composite stat does NOT mean that you're in any way "better" than others rated lower, that it's more of an activity ranker than a quality ranker. As I'm sure you'd agree...

I totally agree. It's not a quality thing, it's about participation. I'm currently loading all the stats into a new (and improved lol) formulated chart. The new chart give a more level field when looking at the stats.

Basically here is how it works:
1. It takes all users that has been entered and gets the avg registered date.

2. It takes all users that has been entered and gets the average challenges entered, votes cast, comments made, and forum post.

3. Each category is weighted.
a) Challenges entered: x1.5
b) Votes: x1.75
c) Comments: x1.25
d) forum post: x1.00

4. Then the formula compares how long you have been an user vs. the average user date(by all entries) and assigns you a percentage.
[example 1: Avg User date is 3/20/04 and your reg. date is 1/1/03 then you are assigned a percentage of 185.76% because you have been a user 85.76% longer than the avg entered user giving you almost twice as long to increase your numbers.
example 2: Avg User 4/5/04 and your reg. date is 5/1/05 then you have been a user for only 22.15% of the avg. user. Therefor your score is calculated by that percentage. Giving you only 22.15% of the time of the avg user to compile your stats.

5. Every time another user is entered the averages change.

6. Every time and update is done the averages change.

NEW CHART: Just the first 50 entries will be adding everyone that has posted but will take a little while

Oh God this is as bad as updating challenge scores! I've dropped to 22nd place!

Oh well, at least our scores in challenges aren't included else I'd be down at 100+!

My theory is this -- date of registration/joining is important. Many sites have people that join and then leave after a while. There are a few of us who have been around since almost the beginning.

Okay, okay, okay, it is important to me. At least i had to have one thing going for me! :)

OK here is the update with all users that provided there info.
Also the formula was slightly changed to compensate for users that has been here along time. The reason is because back in 2002 and 2003 there were less entries and challenges. So if your % was greater than 150% of the average then you were limited to 150%
