I may have a chance to pick up a used Tokina AT-X pro 80-200mm. All I have read says that it is a very good piece of equipment. The question is whether it would be compatible with my D70. It appears the Tokina is a "D" mount and my D70 is an "F" mount. Anyone have any thoughts on this or some advice? I'd love to get the Nikon 80-200 VR ED but I'd have to rob a bank or two. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. |

If the mount fits an F type nikon, it should work. My 300mm 2.8 AT-X works but it is a manual, so I have to set speed, f-stops and ISO. But its a nice lens. |

Thanks Van. It looks like I'd have to use mostly manual settings for this lens. Somewhat defeats the purpose. Dang! |
