Ok, so the Time Capsule entry had me stumped as to what image to submit for the challenge. I ended up changing my mind about 10 times in the final 2 days. I was just wondering which of these images you think would have done the best:

My submit:

My alternate:

Hi Jay,
I agree with the others, your submission was defintely the most appealing and also the better photograph. For me the girl's specs look too modern and the boy in the submitted pic is wonderfully in motion.

I had the same decision to make so if you don't mind my hijacking your thread, could I also ask opinions on my two below?

Submission scored 5.7220 (very happy with this!)

alternate choice:

Thank you anyone for any comments

Jay - You're kidding, right? Score a 6.57 and wonder if it was the right choice???

Both shots are great, but your entry was the right choice IMO, it captures a candid looking glimpse into an innocent moment of a by-gone era so beautifully. No TV, computer or video games, just finding something to do with what was there. Love it!

Well I had 2 people at work tell me they liked the other one.

Riponlady, I like the one you submitted better, the only thing I would have done differently though is to leave more room above the head.

I like them both, but I do like your submission's sense of action and joi de vivre. Nice work!

OHHHH, the so called "chittie kit lens" that comes with the rebel, proving once again, to be of good value, delivering great images!
I know it also depends on the little "thingie" pressing the shutter button, but that's the answer to those "I hate my kit lens" statements.....

Great shot, 1st one was the right choice

I think that is a mistake in my info..... I'm pretty sure that I used the 50mm f/1.8 for my shot! :)
