Hi all,
It's been a while since I've been active at DPC, or photography in general. But lately work has eased up a bit and I have had the time and energy to focus again. I have a few shots that are greatly in need of suggestions or criticism. They are posted on my website here.
All comments are welcome, be brutal please.
Thank you all for your time in this matter, and thanks to DPC for providing this wonderful community.
Note: I hate asking for something for nothing, I promise that I will be an active voter/commenter now that I'm back. |

I wish they were on this site. I like the wave (Ocean) photo the best.
Opps, I saw it on this site.

The one with the two geese walking down the path is the greatest "goose" photo I've ever seen. You should try to "paint" it using different filters and see what you get.

Sorry, the rapids (waves) photo is one I entered in the surrealism challenge a while back. I'll try to get more on this site shortly, I didn't realize a seperate site would be more difficult.

Hi! i really enjoyed looking at your shots. please keep in mind that i am a total novice when you read my comments. my fav shot is of the lion, but i wish the focus were on his face and not the mane -- the face appears out of focus to me. perhaps a larger depth of field. i would also have loved to see more depth of field on the butterfly shots. you captured the butterflies from a great angle (my fav is the third one).
you may want to play around with the color/saturation. i think you could make the colors pop more (if you want).
That's about as brutal as i get (with my knowledge of photography). i really hope you get some useful feedback!
great nature photography!!!

Thank you Kelly. I also wish I had been more prepared for the lion shot. I love the angle but the softness is a bit extreme towards the face. I'll have to wait for winter to reshoot though.(The camera was angled down with snow in the background!)
