Okay it has hit the over 20 days of over 100 degree weather here in the dust trap we call the san joaquin valley in california-- and now that the submission deadline is over--- it flippin rains......................................aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!###########%%%%%%%%%%%%&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&

Same here in central Indiana, started raining last night at 4pm and is still raining, havent had rain for months!!!! I got a last minute sub in but it is a so so one. O well

I went 7 days without rain and of course it started last night at 12:15.I still entered and I'm paying for it. Seven days without rain on Cape Cod is very strange.

well at least I am not alone in my complete aggrivation.
I do have a question though... as this is my first rain with the new camera... what is the best way or technique to get a drop of water as it is happening.. all I have right now is the "after" not during. i have Nikon D50-- thanks to anyone who can help.

I would think high shutter speed and maybe flash, but someone samrter smarter will chime in with real advice. If not, check the gallery for shots like the one you're going for and see if they put the settings in. Hope that was helpful.

Drizzling in parts of San Francisco now too. Umbrellas and windshield wipers are turned on now :(

Same here...rained all day and the clouds hugging the mountains were perfect.
