Went to the county fair today with my date, Ms D70.

What I found:

Comments (good and bad) appreciated but not mandatory.

Or be neighborly and share your fair!

Left a comment on one.

Hmmm, reminds me of a scene from "The Godfather"

lol @ kpriest - I was thinking the same thing!

Thanks for the comments!

An edit of Horseface's Eye with sjcarter's suggestion, plus some cloning out of distracting flecks.

I like the first one, but I think I'd move the frame to the left, putting the eye near the right side border (and moving it up at the same time). I tried to crop it that way to show you, but without more of the nose showing I couldn't get it to work very well.

I see what you mean. Unfortunately that shot is full frame. I'll try that tomorrow. Thanks for the idea.

And another.

I'm noticing that I center-eyed a lot of the horses but I think it works in this one. Or am I horribly mistaken? You be the judge.

We'll let the morning folks in on the action...

It works (for me at least) because of the lines leading out of the picture (the horse's head going to the bottom right). However, The picture appears dark to me.

Cool. Let us know how it turns out. Our fair isn't until the end of the month.

Unfortunately I didn't make it back to the fair to try Nathan's suggestion. Luckily there's a neighbor-county's fair coming up that I can crash.
