Howdy,

a friend of mine recently bought a Sigma 18-125mm for his Rebel XT but it is giving him nothing but out of focus shots. We have determined that its not a problem with the camera as his other lenses work fine.

The odd thing is, I have just tried the suspect Sigma on my Rebel XT and the images seem to be fine. So my question is, is it possible to get such different results from the same lense on different cameras.

Thanks in advance for your help,

Darren

Can anyone help here or is it just not possible?

Could be a dodgy connection between camera and lens.. have you tried manually focusing the Sigma. If this works try cleaning the contacts on the lens and camera.

Just agree with pixelstate...focus on like the "6" on a ruler at a 45 degree angle in manual.
