so can anyone give me examples of the color matrix, and if there are any suggested rules to use the color matrix.

also, what advantages and disadvantages are there with the AF using 45, 11, 9 focal points?

thanks in advance.

Color matrix does not matter if you shoot RAW. i shoot only RAW so, I can't tell you anything about Color matrix settings.

Advantages of 45 AF points: when you are shooting a moving subject in AI AF mode, the camera will switch the AF ponit as the subject moves, more points = more chance of it tracking the subject.

Smaller number of AF point is when you have a specific stationary subject and you dan't want the camera to focus of the background or a foreground object. I usually use 1 AF point and shift it to suit the composition when I'm shooting a stationary or nearly stationary subject.

I'm fairly sure they're all the same on the 1D as well. aRGB for anything you want the most color in, same as with any camera. I believe I use #3 for sRGB a lot cause it has the most color, 5 is more subdued, 1 is the least colorful, and 2 is for portraits. There are no set rules for this, except that aRGB will have about 18% more color in the green/cyan side mostly, not so much in the other areas. The advantages for changing to 11 or 9 focus points is so that you don't have to pick through 45 points to find the one you want. Usually 11 is enough, but sometimes you want more, hense why there are 45.

I'm not sure why you want samples here... you have the camera and you can get your own samples. Just try the modes for different things and see which results you like for certain situations. I don't think there's any one right way to do things. Most of the pros will tell you to always shoot in aRGB I believe that's Matrix 4, it should be easy to tell when you get in the menu system.

because, a person that already knows the ins and outs can give me a better illustration than what I don't know yet.

I am experimenting, but, if I don't know the basic look, how can I know if I am doing things correctly?

just looking for some info, not a debate.
