I just decided to delete the vast majority of photos from my portfolio here. What a painful process! I have them all at my galleries on PBase, so they are still viewable, but it still was hard to click that delete for so many photos! I didn't really count, but I'd say around 200 or more shots.

I am really working at building up my print selection, so I needed space available for that. I will also use it for thread links when needed and then delete after the thread has died away. And, of course, the challenge shots all remain.

I just really enjoy having folks view my photos, make comments, mark favorites, etc. Sorry if I've deleted one of your favorites, but I'm sure it could be found on my PBase site as well.

If you go into each collection, there is a "delete collection" button. If you want to delete most, but not all, of a collection, click on the the "select all" button, then deselect the keepers. That will limit the amount of clicking you need to do.
Another piece of advice is to keep those images that you expect to be "transient" in a special collection just for that. Hopefully that will limit the number of collections you need to sort through when you clear out old images.
