I thought CS2 supported Camera RAW for the Rebel 350 XT? I can't get it to recognize. Can't get OS X to recognize it either (iPhoto help says Rebel 300 is supported, though).

Is there something I have to do? Or is this format just not supported yet?

The RAW converter in CS2 does not yet support the XT.

Pretty sure CS2 can handle it, but you might need an updated Camera RAW plug-in from Adob (ah... Kirbic says it's not out yet. It was promised in May). Meanwhile, Graphic Converter can open Rebel XT RAW files and it's installed by default on your Mac.

Got an update here...

Found a link to Camera Raw 3.1 Update (CS2 ships with 3.0). This update supposedly adds a bunch of cameras, including the 350 XT. Here's the link:

Worked like a charm. All you have to do is drag the new plugin to a specific folder and restart Photoshop.

Thanks, I was wondering how charms work. ;-)

;-)

This new Mac experience has left me a bit bewildered. I keep expecting everything to be difficult, but it seems to be easier than PC, so far. Photoshop opens at least 5 times faster on the Mac Powerbook than my Athlon XP 2800, which is a HUGE bonus!!

Get used to it. I haven't seen a virus since 1995 either (on dozens of Macs).
