I'd be interested to know how you executed this shot, specifically how the eye was colored while the rest of the photo was B&W.

He has said in a comment on his own piece.

Basically, the eye was Blue to start off with, and then the red colour was desaturates to make the skin B&W.

The hues were then changed to make the blue into red.

A very simple way of acheiving a great effect.

He gave step by step instructions in a comment here. In order to get the admin note he had to provide an original photograph along with the instructions, and an administrator duplicated the effect using the original photograph and the instructions. If we can't duplicate it, we don't add the note.

What else would you like to know?

I was able to almost reproduce it, without too much effort, thanks Green,

How much effort does it take for you to reproduce? :-)

Thanks a bunch !
For info I am not a prop of photoshop at all and it took me 10 mn to do it , not perfect (I have some red in the bottom left corner) but globally I have reached the effect.

and I am SO HAPPY with that .... we are here to learn , we all have to learn ... maybe it's in a book somewhere , probably, but this was more 'live'. Thank again !

PS : btw .. with a name like that I am wondering why he started with blue, converted to red without changing his pseudo ;-) ;-)

All depends on how much wine I have had.
