The faux award is cute, but I find myself wishing I could make it go away. Would it be possible to remove the Rubber Ducky "awards," or at least add an on/off preference for displaying Honorable Mentions?

I LOVE my rubber duckie award, and treasure it being on my page :)

How did this award come about anyway? |

It was a one-time test to see who was foolish enough to attempt to follow a challenge description to the letter. If you didn't your photo was DQ'd. If you did you earned the Duck Award. The only winners here may have been those who said "Rubber Duckies? Aw, sour grapes on that!" and kept their lens cap on.
(Bitter? I'm not bitter. Do you have any idea how hard it's going to be to get that duck off my profile page?!)

But your photo was very good! You should be proud of it! :)

No problem - just score a 6.54, 6.55, 6.56, and 6.57 in your next 4 challenges and...voila...it's not there anymore! ;^)

Thank you! I like it well enough....but I'm kinda hoping that either a) I have 5 phenomenal photos in the near future, or b) that the "honor" expires during the next April Fool's round. (I'm a sucker, I'll bite at another foolish ruse.)
On a serious note, I found it interesting to be challenged by such specific guidelines--you never know what you'll come up with sometimes! |

Gee...I'm very proud of my Ducky Ribbon....being a big fan of Rubber Ducks...
Anyways, I'd actually like more of those "exacting challenges" though perhaps a 2-day instead of 24 hours.
As it is I am waiting for rain for my rain challenge. It looks like we got some dew or drizzle in the night. I think I am going to have to cheat and use a garden hose. |
