Hi all,
Just thought I'd pass on where I've bought my new memory card from:
//www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/Components/a2b16c1d0e0
128meg smart media for £21.15 (incl VAT)
Most other outlets seem to be selling SM for around 50 quid..
Compact flash is roughly the same price.
I'm not affiliated with Novatech, but I'm a frequent customer and have sent many friends there.
Regards,
Paul. |

That`s a great price for 128sm.
I just bought a 512mb (10xspeed) compact flash card from here for £72.85 and it works great with my fuji 602.

Mark - do you think the 'speed' thing makes any difference?
I have a 340M Microdrive, and the only issue I have with it is the slowness of uploading.

It is slower than my 128mb smart media card. The sm card takes 8 seconds to write 3 6mpf images. The cf card takes 11.5 seconds to store the same 3 images.
When shooting single frames the difference is not noticable.
Also if you use video mode it stops after a about 3-4 mins. I`m not bothered about video mode as i never use it.
I was willing to trade the price and storage space (402, 3mpf images)for speed. Also i can still keep my smart media in camera if i needed that little bit extra speed.
Your microdrive should be quicker than my x10 card.
