I got home a little while ago for have a small surgical procedure done, an esophagogastroduodenoscopy. I have a high tolerance for pain and medication. I never went under during the procedure but got very woozy. Now having to deal with a bad dizziness and headache.

But that's a small price to pay, I thank God everything turned out OK. I think the worst part was the worry of having to be put to sleep and the procedure itself. I was told last Friday I was to undergo this today.

It's not a bad procedure but it is one you wish you could go under while it's being done. Because of the medications I already take I was awake during the complete procedure. I remember ever thing the doctor was say and the nurses. I remember every part of the procedure. Not fun but I will take the headache, at least it will go away soon after the medication wears off.

I was given Demerol and versed. I do remember the doctor telling them to give me an extra dose of medication after I didn't go under with the first dosages.

But home now, Thanking God its over. A relief.

Glad to hear everything went ok and that you only had to worry for a couple of days rather than a couple of weeks before the procedure.

Glad to hear that it went well, and that you are home safely. Let the drugs do their "magic" and have a good rest.

I detest having to be put under anesthesia, but would prefer to be "asleep" for ANY kind of procedure!

Take care, we're praying for a quick rebound and recovery for you.
