This in my opinion is the best photographer on DPC
jjbeguin
and not because of how many ribbons he has, but of his creativity and many other qualities he adds to his work

I do admire his work. There is something so special about all his images. It is like he does not need to gamble because his vision is the most complete. I agree. He is the one to beat. |

I'm with Sher here.. "Best" is so unbelievably subjective.
There are far too many fantastic photographers of all facets of photography on this website to just simply label one as "best". Saying "favorite" is a much better, and less ire raising (heh), choice.
Liking the work of an artist is one thing, hero worship is quite entirely another.

Sheesh! Since I've been looking through peoples profiles on here it's very hard to single out just one! It depends on how you perceive their photos as well! It's like voting, I have given photos a 4 where others have given an 8 or 9! There are many, many good photographers on here in my opinion! |

True, there are many, MANY awesome photogs here (have to mention nico_blue), but something I like to do and is also amazing I think, is just start digging around. Be it randomly checking out portfolios, or browse galleries in the not so obvious places or whatever, but I run across real gems, shots that will really touch you somehow. Call them one-hit wonders or whatever :-) , but there is an unfathomable amount of talent dwelling in the folks that haunt this site. |

You speak utter truth. I like to keep my eye on the "recently uploaded" section under Browse Photos. It's amazing what you can find there sometimes. So many underappreciated people here, a few words a day can really make a difference.
