For the next two contests, I have a few shots to choose from. I always seem go back and forth between a few pictures. It is so hard for me to pick the one I want to enter! Does anyone have any suggestions on how they pick thier entry?

I'm usually down to 2 pictures when trying to decide. So I ask my girlfriend. Whatever she pics, I post the other one.

Works for me!

I usually ask the opinion of my daughter and hubby, and if the opportunity is there a coworker. The co-worker and my daughter are both artists so I really value their opinions a lot. My hubby gives me what I might expect from the general public not into the arts/photo type of opinion.

If the image looks like something that I would score a "5" or "6", is usually the one that I would enter. If I won't give that score to the shot I don't even bother.

I ended up with three entries above "6".

I use adobe bridge and color code my images according to what I like most, almost most, almost almost most, not quite almost most, not quite most and lastly, most likely not to be most likely.

I ask my family and they always say "they are both good" AAHHHH! That doesn't help.

I usually consult with our cat, Bruce. He has impeccable taste and has never let me down (I hope...)

...and if he is undecided, I normally pick the one on the left and hope for the best :-D

The left??!!! what is this, the middle ages??.... always chose the second from the right....it's a basic rule of photography.

ENOUGH WITH THE LEG!! geez I am hoping that the next two challenges will beat it so it won't be on the FRONT page of my profile.

I'm not a great judge of my own pics. In an upcoming challenge I have a couple of versions to pick from, one which has less DOF which I think makes it more effective regarding my goal. My other versions are sharper all over, which may attract more votes (or not). I'm going for the one that is closer to my vision, even if it is not apparently as technically proficient. I suppose it's left side vs right side of the brain* for me at times.

*brain that is, not legs

for illusions, I have two to pick from. One is better (sort-of) but the other one is really funny.

for time warp, I have 5 to pick from that are all equal in quality? I entered one, but I am sure I will change it a few times
