Just so there is no compaining after, mabey we should define the word illusion and the term time capsle. So that people might not get too upset when thier interpertation of these words effects their score.

This should give them a good idea of what this community considers what these words mean visually.

Illusion means trick, something that appears real but is not.
IMO a sunset is not an illusion. Money is not an illusion for happiness.

Time capsle... I consider this to be something to represent a time period. Past, present and mabey future....hmmmm that would be interesting.

That's my 2 cents

so we can repress creativity before it even occurs?

seriously, i dont care if someone else doesnt define the challenge the same as me - i shoot what is in me to shoot, and if its crap, or "doesnt meet the challenge" or is so out of the box that i have a case of "nobody gets me"s so be it. Suck it up.

who gives a crap if someone doesnt get your image? Do you think people got picaso? Its fun to have a high score, but taking photos is fun too - atleast for me it is!

(not meant as a flame just IHO)

So we "define" the word "illusion" to some relatively precise level, then we all agree to use that definition of the word in voting? And anyone who didn't use thatd efinition when shooting is flat out of luck, because we, the "definers" have spoken? Toe the line, go with the consensus, or pay the price in broken dreams? If "score" matters to you, don't step outside the box or over the line? Don't reach, lest you fail?

What's the fun in that? Where's the potential for growth in that? What's the freaking JOY in doing what others expect of you, in playing it safe?

Dude, the defining comes after the fact, and it is given voice by the voters collectively. Time enough to see what they have to say, eh?

Everything said above is dead on.

I just don't want to hear it if I give some one a low score because they used a shot of money and titled it "illusion for happiness"

Just covering my ass. Some people can't take it.
As for me dictating to others what they should do, no, that is not what I'm saying at all. Hell take a photo of a rock and call it "Metaphysical? Or not - Life is an illusion" I don't care just don't PM me calling me stupid because I gave your photo a 2.

Nothing is an illusion -- the camera only captures what is there. I will be giving everybody a 1

Yah, dude... but if it LOOKS like something else, then it's an illusion eh?

So that's a 10, if it don't look like what it is? jejeje....
