(Cause I swore off planning any events for at least a month ya know. ;) )

So I'm going home for vacation the week of the 14th. Anyone in the area up to meet up one day and go play cameras for a bit?

Hi Clara

I might be able to meet up with you. It all depends on which day. When you get more feedback then maybe we can work on a day. FYI- no Tuesdays & Thursdays for me.

How about in December? I'm planning to go skiing there.

My kids go back to school on the 18th. I plan to celebrate all day on the 19th by doing whatever I want. Could join you then.

Nick -- where are you going skiing?

I don't know yet. I live on east coast so all places I go to are somewhat small. I'm looking for very tall moutains and I know Colorado has them. So far I have tentative plans to go on skiing vacation there. I don't have exact date or place so far.

Any recomendations? When does ski season starts there?

With the fancy new snow making machines you can start skiing anytime after mid October and have a pretty good run. By December the slopes will be in great shape. My family is a little fond of the Keystone/Breckenridge area. Only about an hour and 20 minutes from Denver. Not nearly as pricey as Vail or (gasp) Aspen. The people are much more relaxed than those folks further up the mountain. Personally, I don't ski, but I do have a great time in the condo hot tub, drink in hand waiting for everyone else to get their freezing butts off the mountain. :-)

ski season usually starts in mid november thru mid december. Holidays are crazy but still fun. Actually some of the best times to go are in March. Low crowds, great snow, good weather. You can mountain passes that would include Breckenridge/Arapohoe Basin/Keystone for good prices. Those three offer three varied feels of difficulty and terrain. Of course Vail is huge.

I don't think I have anything planned for that week so we can try and meet up. PM me if you want to plan something.

Bumping for the weekend. :) I won't have a ton of time, but a couple hours at Helen Hunt Falls at sunsetish might be fun.

Thoughts?
