i took my 20D and my 70-200 F/2.8L IS to the pool tonight. this was shot handheld at F/2.8, 1/200, iso3200 from about 40yds away with only the pool's deck lighting as a light source.
this is a 100% crop
can't wait to learn how to use it ;-) |

FUN FUN FUN!!! You'll love it. I haven't had my 80-200 off since I got it -- except tonight to take a picture.

I wish I went for the IS when I got mine, they seeem to be much better at lower light and handheld. Have fun with it. |

The 70-200/2.8 IS is certainly a very sweet lens, a heavy bugger to be sure, but worth the effort in lugging around. I look forward to seeing more shots with your new toy Skip :o)

Looks like the combo of fast 2.8 lens plus ISO 3200 is a real winner. Very nice! |
