I would like to thank everyone who helped me in planning my trip to New York City in a previous thread.

This was the best trip I have ever done thanks to the great advice I had. I couldn't manage to do everything. OMG, this reminds me that I said previously that 4 days was enough to visit everything ! Anyway, What an astonishing city, I wish I could live there. You guys living there are trully lucky, especially if you live in west village which was my favorite place. Would gladly trade my appartement in Paris if I could :)

Unfortunatly, I'm back home, sad but full of happy memories and around 1500 photos that I have to sort, edit and perhaps publish.

I wish I could have met some of you in real life but well I really had a busy week.

Anyway, thanks again and goooooo Yankeessss :)

Everything is just a wow. Just the atmosphere is great.
I really like the west village around Washington Square Park, I liked the peacefullness of the West Side.
Central Park was also great, although a bit overcrowded during hot days.
Chinatown is really photogenic. If you wander around, you can find yourself witnessing unusual scenes. Just be ready to capture the action. Damn how many shot I missed, this is too bad. Know how to handle your camera setting and just be ready.
One really important thing however. If you really want to take great pictures, either get up early or wait for the late afternoon. New York during the day is just too much hazy.
The Yankee game was great, too bad they lost the night I went but well. I wish I had that Nikkor 80-200 f/2.8 VR :) anyway.
If you have to shop for photo gear, it's needless to mention B&H. This is really something. I'm wondering how they do that, you order, 20 sec later, you have it in those green basket. Are there dwarves downstairs ?:)
Anyway, that's pretty much about it :)
Enjoy !!
