Anyone out there considering the same dilema I have at the moment - the new Sigma 10-20mm or the established and well reviewed Sigma 12-24mm. Both similarly priced in the UK, best I have seen the 10-20mm @ is about £349 and the 12-24 about £440.
Anyone find them cheaper???

I had the 12-24, and if you shoot 35mm it can be a fun lens. But on a D70 the 10-20 is more versitle, and you can use screw in filters (the 12-24 requires gels). |

I'm looking at the 10-20mm as well but was wondering if test shots were available as I would like to see what the distortion is like at 10mm and 20mm.

I have had a quick look around as well Kosmikkreeper, but as yet have not had any luck locating images or even many reviews.....

I really like my 12-24, but it was the widest thing going when I bought my 10D. If I were doing it again, I'd get the 10-20

There seem to be some rumours that affordable larger-sensor DSLRs aren't far away... I'm glad all my lenses will be usable! (12-24mm Sigma, 24-200mm Tokina, etc.) |
