My number of favourite photos is growing to the point where it's getting tough to find certain photos I'd like to refer to, as they're all lumped onto one big page.
I'd like to see a setup similar to that of a user's Portfolio, where we could organize our favourite photographs into different folders of our own making.

I suggested this a while back and no one was to big on the idea. I would also like to organize my fav photographers also. |

I am bumping this back on the home page because I really think that it is needed. I am starting to pick a lot of favorites the longer I am a member here and eventually it would be easier to find the fav I will be looking for if I could orgainize them. pretty please?
can't spell worth a crap

Rejuvenating this thread because I COMPLETELY AGREE! It would be fabulous to be able to organize my favorites. |

I love the idea. It would also encourage people to add more favorites. I know that I am a little too selective because I don't want those photos to be lost in a sea of my favorites.

Good idea - I sem to be collecting favs recently :)
Another thing that I would find useful along these lines is not a fav as such but a I want to be able to find this pic again. If we have some sort or organisation then I could throw these in a fav folder but they are not really favs, just cool ideas that I like the look of. |

Of all the possible features that might be added to this site, I still think this one is the most needed.
Being able to organize one's favorites into folders = GOOD! |

I completely agree, and I suggested this same idea when - dwterry - posted a thread just recently, and this was my answer. I think our favorites should be divided into folders, with a theme, as suggested below.
This is a copy of - sherpet - answer to - dwterry - recent thread:
How about dividing the favorites into folders/themes, like macro, landscape, nature or ribbons as examples, just a thought. but sounds good to me...
Originally posted by dwterry:
Can't we have more favorites? Why stop at 500? What's the point? I should stop looking or liking any new images?
Alternatively:
If I have to pick and choose which ones I like ... why can't I be shown a thumbnail of the image next to the selection box that lets me delete the image from my favorites?
You're sending mixed signals. You limit how many favorites I can have (like maybe you want them to be my "bestest" favorites) but then you don't give me any decent way to figure out which ones those are...
Personally, I'd rather just be able to keep adding to my list as there is a different reason for each one that I have chosen.

Bump for the daytime crowd.
Also - if there's some technical/programming limitation that prevents organizing favorites into folders from being practical, maybe someone in the know could explain it?
Much obliged! |

Is this feature really of interest to so few? |

I'd be interested in a fave organization - and an increase in the number we can mark as faves.
