I had a fantastic time this year, although the magic of previous years was a little lacking due to my press pass! The novelty is starting to wear off a little and it is starting to feel a little too much like work. Maybe it's because me and my wife spent our anniversary (edit... we do have our anniversaries here... I meant to say honeymoon!) at this festival, and we've been every year for the last 5 years. It's a little hard to feel intimate when I'm taking photos of all the bands.
Nonetheless, it was great to have opportunities to photograph performers such as Robert Plant and Youssou N'Dour, as well as some very photogenic world music performers.
Just after I took photos of the last act, I spilt a whole cup of steaming hot sticky red wine ALL over my camera and 12-24mm Sigma lens... I took the battery out straight away and it worked like new the next day, no probs so far (crosses fingers). Thank God!
You can see the whole collection at //www.EyesOpen.co.uk/Womad2005
Anyway, here they are... comments appreciated as always!

and some crowd/ ambience shots:

Oh yeah, one of the other photographers (from the BBC) took this photo of me when me and my other half played in the open-mic session!

You could have strapped your camera to your head and got some 1st person view crowd shots... WHAT WERE YOU THINKING!

Bob congratulations!
"Most Excellent Dude!" LOL

You did a great job as always.

I'm still trying to figure out the expression on your face from the BBC shot :)
