I am just wondering if any owners of the Fuji have any comments, or pros vs. cons kinda things they have noticed with this camera.
I loved my Olympus, but electronic problems developed after two months. I had the highest rated photograph with that model and it is now my goal to do the same with the 4 megapixel Fuji, though this entails scoring over 7.00, which I have not done.
Anyway, I love the community here and would welcome anyone's comments.

Hi Matthew!! I'm quite familiar with the Olympus C-740UZ, and it has some advantages over the S5100, like the ability to do double exposures, save in TIFF mode and the two macro modes. In the other hand the S5100 can save in RAW mode and I find its controls and buttons more user friendly. The only "Con" I've found so far is shared by both, being their hard to use Manual Focus feature.
I wish you luck in achieving your goal, I know it's hard because there are many good photographers sharing this fine camera in this site; also that I plan to do my best in keeping the record... ;^)

I agree with the hard to use manual focus. What a deal that is. I don't have time to single focus then switch to manual and fine tune all while trying to push 2 or 3 buttons at the same time. Really my only complaint.
The movie mode is awesome. Really good sound recording to.
OH and if you are interested in the telephoto and wide angle lenses, stay away from the deals on EBAY. Buy the Fuji ones not the generic.

How funny! Thanks for the insight fellas, Roberto, it appears my stated goal is to overthrow your top ranked photo! Hehe, no worries though, I suspect it will take quite a while.

I haven't been participating lately due to work issues, but I'll do my best to start participating again.
