And it's really a nice lens... I recently said it gets old really fast but today it was the only one that worked for me. And well the sharpness is still what it used to be for sure. Anyways, here's a shot from it (any 50mm will do, but preferably the 1.8II). Feel free to post yours if you've got em!

Can't wait. I'm getting mine tomorrow. I'll take some photos and post them. not bad for only $75! Woohoo!
By the way, what's the set up when you take these still life photos kyebosh? |

I have my 550ex firing almost directly at my strobe which was firing from behind the bottle. The strobe is optically triggered... it also had a 2ft x 2ft softbox. The result was a nice fill from the back and side, hense the yellowish lable on one side and not the other. I shot it handheld. It was sitting on the bowflex downstairs and there was a black backround but the backround had too much light so I burned it out completely. I desaturated the lens problems around the hotspots. Cloned out impurities in the bottle glass. That's about it.
