Hey,

Have anyone used //www.fotolia.com/? Or heard anything about them? The site looks fresh, and I like the upload process.

That's new one to me. Am checking out the site now. I would very much like to know your impressions if you have signed up there.

I haven't put anything out for sale yet. Anybody used this before, and have some comments?

I noticed that the only way that you can get your money is through a PayPal account. There goes 2% of your earnings.

With what the banks take to change foreign cheques in South Africa, 2% might just be a bargain. Thanks to looking at this site, I've discovered that PayPal have finally added South Africa to the list of countries they do business with. That will be a big help when I have to renew my dpc membership. Still need to know a bit more about www.fotolia.com before I even think of joining.

As a matter of interest, has anyone sold anything at gimmestock yet?

I hope everyone reads the terms of use. A few of my red flags...
The photographer has chosen to be exclusive with Fotolia for the sale of their photographs; in this case, the photographer receives at least 50 % of the selling price of the photograph according to the following table.
The photographer has chosen not to be exclusive with Fotolia for the sale of the photograph, in this case, the photographer does not collect more than 25 % of the selling price and cannot sell the photograph as an exclusive-commercial license

The lowest percentage you recieve is 60%!???! And as said before...Paypal takes a bite too. Not to mention...
Credits gained from the sale of photographs are deposited into a photographers account after 30 days of the confirmed sale. (Customer purchases are refundable up to 30 days after the purchase.)
Just a few sticking points with me. Or am I reading it wrong?
