I was up and out of the house and to Janes Field in Blaine, Minnesota by 7am this morming for their annual Aviation Days Fly-In.
Here are some of my favorite photos (in slideshow format if you chose). The airplane buffs out there might enjoy these!
This was my first time trying to photograph moving airplanes with my S602 (timing was a bit tricky). Please let me know what you think.
Thanks!

Very nice stuff. I'm impressed with how well you were able to control to exposure when shooting into that very bright sky.
I like your slideshow program too.

I was trying to limit my shots to those which could be taken with the sun mostly behind me (the more colorful shots), but some of the planes were not cooperating with me.:)
I like your slideshow program too.
The controls to start/stop the slideshow are sort of hidden in the bottom right corner. Did you (stretch) enlarge the main window upon starting the show?

Help. I can't see the slide show. Can't find any controls in the lower RH corner. The picture of the a/c with the radial? shows, though. |

Never mind. I must not have given it enough time to load. Checked again and it was working.
Great Photos! |

I did find that the photos take a few seconds to POP UP - Thanks for checking them out.

Nice report on the show. It was good of the pilots to fly by low enough that you could get shots of more than just the bottoms of the planes. Did you use a polarizer on the sky shots? Good job! |

The large zoom of the S602 helped capture the planes at a lower camera angle on some shots as well.

Yes, I have a cheap'o Quantaray (circular polarizer) which I was using for all the outdoor shots (I think it does the job it's design for).
