I just submitted a photo for the "tools" challenge. When I review it, it seems washed out compared to the same pic in Photshop. The colors are just not at as vivid when reviewing my submission, not even close. Anyone have ideas? I have less than an hour left.

use save for web to get an srgb color profile.

Probably a color space problem. Are you shooting and editing in a color space other than sRGB? If so proof it in sRGB, and adjust until it looks right. Then either save for web or convert it to the sRGB color space and "save as".

That's a dead giveaway that the color space you're editing in is not sRGB. If you're using Photoshop, go to View>Proof Setuo. Set the proofing to "Monitor RGB." This should show it as it will appear on the web. Now tweak it and save for web.

Edit:
When you're editing images that will be displayed on the web, I recommend editing them in the sRGB color space, that is, converting them as you bring them in.

Save for web still seems to wash it out
