I would appreciate any feedback. I am new with a simple digital camera. I want to buy a better one but I want to see if I have any potential at all. If I am not any good then I wont waste my money. :P

Here I was just trying to highlight the kids faces.

Elderly entrance to back of a Church. Going for simple arch center with a nice symetrical field.

Here I wanted to suggest movement from a still object.

I love flowers and the color contrasts were what I was after here.

Picture #1 - Nice B+W tones and the lighting and exposure are good. The expression on the girl looks very natural and she seems comfortable. The boy looks like he's being told to look at the camera. His expression looks forced.

Picture #2 - The composition is too basic for my taste. The picture is sharp and the exposure is good also.

Picture #3 - All the rope on the boat is distracting. The boat looks like it's still. To me, it doesn't suggest movement. The colors also look flat.

Picture #4 - i like this one the best of all 4. The colors are rich and vibrant. To me it looks a little under exposed. However, there is excellent detail in this picture. Well done.

If you like to take pictures, then don't give up. There is always potential. If the picture looks good to you that's all that really matters. Everyone will have their opinions and many will differ from yours. The comments you receive from these pictures should give you ideas and inspire you to take more pictures and develop your skills.

Hope you stay with it. Good Luck!!

Thanks for the feedback! In pic 1 that is a very natural look for my son-he is rather intense. The flowers are also my personal favorite-but I love flowers to start with. thanks again for the feedback! Anyone else please?
