I am in the city now and planning on taking a little trip to B and H photo. I have never been there before and plan on looking for a used film camera...
for anyone else who has been there, are the prices set? Is there any chance at negotiating?

| I've only dealt with B&H twice (once last week, once this week for an exchange of last week's order). Both times I asked whether they could waive the shipping charge, and both times they said no. To more directly answer your question: It's worth a shot, but I wouldn't count on it. If you buy from them in-store you'll have to pay sales tax, which (unless you live in New York state) you won't have to pay if you buy online or over the phone. So even if you see something you like you may be better off walking outside and calling in your order. Just a thought. |
