I just had a client call me up and ask me to take head shots of the seniors for this yrs. yearbook I haven't ever done this before and I need some help comming up with some prices. Any ideas I am thinking 20 dollars a pic but also its a small private school and there is only 3 students.

That's a small school!

Figure out how much time it will take you and figure out how much your time is worth per hour. Figure in editing time, travel time, and shooting time. Inflate your hourly rate a little to account for your equipment and you should be good to go.

I haven't done photo jobs for hire but I have done other jobs for hire and I imagine it would be similar. the first few times you'll want to bid low because what you learn and the contact is probably worth more then what you'll make.
