Just wondering if any of you have tried Astro Photography and what kind of equipment is required for it.

Also reading in another thread on the net I found that shooting pictures of the Sun in noon with an IR filter is not good for your eyes and also for the CCD.

Any views..?

You may want to look at this thread I started yesterday. One of the users posted a good link on this type of photography.
