Beautifully done! You should submit some to NASA for their galleries.

Awesome shots, I'm assuming that the spots are stars and not hot pixels, right?

VERY nice, macox! I like the gradual change in darkness across the moon's surface. Also, the detail you have captured is especially nice. Did you track the moon at all, or was the exposure short enough that it wasn't an issue?

I tried some shots with only the zoom on my camera, and was so disappointed with the result that I simply deleted every one of them.

you captured some great colors Macox. I found that using an exposure of 1 sec. ... the moon started to get pretty blurry becuause of the moon's movement.

Correct they are stars, not hot pixels. I do have a few hot pixels but they dont show up until about a 20 second exposure

Jacko, how are you shooting the moon? just the camera on the tripod? if so you are correct an it will blur. My telecope automatically tracks the object and I can get about a 30 second image before you see movement. I have a couple of goodies coming that should let me get up to 30 minute exposures if I set it up correctly

I think I used a iso 100 13 sec exposure for that one at F/3.2 I wish I had a polarizer or something with witch to get rid of all of the glare
