Much of it have been discussed lately.
Today, I received a joke email from a colleague at work and i thought i'd pass along. It's not my joke, it was probably gotten via tons of forwarding mails along the way but it's pretty funny. The comments reminded me of people on DPC :)

If you think THAT's funny, here's something another colleague did by substituting it with Picasso and Jackson paintings:
Criticism of Art (By Famous Painters)
These are actual images of Picasso and Jackson's paintings :) not too far off from the kid's painting....

It could be but most flowers and babies photos are devoid of feeling :)
(at least it seems to me)

Devoid of feeling to you, but perhaps not to someone else. Isn't it about how a particular piece speaks differently to different people? Angst that looks forced may leave some people cold and others might hold it up as an example of emotion in art. If everyone liked the same things, then we would have NO art. :-)

The best one was the "messy chaotic" one:
"I can piss on the snow and make a shape better than that!"
Actually that is a valid criticism because the art was full of elements which distracts from the underlying message (whatever the kid was thinking).

At the end you have to have some common ground with others to speak out for.
But then again, some photos are just boring. :) I may not agree with the art i am seeing but at least it's not boring. just my 2 adult cents.
