I like the ability to deep link - but how long do you expect to be able to provide this free?

I figure it won't get too big... I have a short film site and that has never gone over the bandwidth limit.

pBase is hosting something like 16 million still photos right now...I'm rooting for you! I will try and keep testing -- anything in particular we should try?

OK, I created two categories: one for photographers and the other for artists. You select which gallery you would like to post your materials and you're off and running.

To create a portfolio: You register and then login. Select which category you consider yourself to be and then click "create nested album" and that's it. You now have you're own album with your own permissions. At least that's the plan...

Can you guys try this out?

Yeah, everything should be fixed now...

Did it - I submit a news, should have just been a post here. The apostrophes don't work in galleries. At least *I* don't know how to. Everything else looks good. Except I want to turn off who can create new sub galleries in mine. Right now "loggedin" is the ONLY choice. I want to choose same as every other option.

yes i was able to get in & create my portfolio, the only problem i encountered was if you go to the option to view comments on your photo, the option to return to photographers appears to be a dead link

Loggedin is you, so no one else can change you're settings with that permission. You can turn this off for even yourself by clicking the "Loggedin" (on the right side) and then click the "<-" button (the move left button) then the "nobody" option be be in it's place when the page updates....About the apostrophies, i'll look into that.

I left a comment on that thread. You can fix his profile name manually by going into the database. Do you have phpMyAdmin?

What if I want someone to be able to create a subfolder, but not anyone else - like people can add to my directory.

The apostrophe issue has been fixed....

mavrik - What if I want someone to be able to create a subfolder, but not anyone else - like people can add to my directory.

Goto your gallery and then click "permissions" This will allow you to select who can do what with your gallery, including adding sub- gallries.

Ok, my previous question - it says "Users who can create sub albums" - what if I want to ADD to this - not subtract?

Also - //www.dpportfolio.com/modules.php?set_albumName=album03&op=modload&name=photo&file=index&include=view_album.php this page says "Permissions" under my gallery, but it's not a link. If it's meant to let me change permissions, it's not working.

All else looking good - will check more tomorrow.

Too add users you sometimes have to remove what ever login was there...I fixed the config for you, so all should be well.

I'm having trouble customizing the appearance of my portfolio. The only property that changes after I edit properties is the border size - color, font, thumbnail size, and background image all remain unchanged.

Ah Ha, i see what's happening. The color, font, thumbnail size, and background image are all the same in "Community mode" If you goto the "Gallery only" mode, all of these are changable. This is set to preserve the overall look of the community site. In fact, if you change some settings in Commuity mode, they will show up in the Gallery Only mode even though you can't see them in the community mode.

In other news.
I added a couple of new functions like forums and a random image gallery. So it should be leaving the beta testing status before to long.

Thanks everyone for your help and thanks to the admin. If there's anything i can do to make the site better, please let me know.

---edit---
The I just added support for EXIF data, and ZIP support(to aid in the uploading of multiple images).
