What do you need to know? You can PM me if soon, I'll be off line in about 15 minutes.

Gene (taterbug) had to go to work. He's concerned that some kind of artefact (lens flare or wierd lighting on his background material) that he cloned out consists of a major element. I'm convinced he's fine, but if one of y'all SC members would look at the two versions to ease his mindframe...

Edited to add: It's for the member challenge...

This doesn't sound that clear a decision to me, which means asking one or two or five SC members won't produce anything definitive, unless it's a clear "not allowed." Subjective decisions regarding what constitutes a "major element" are often divided.

OK then, in your humble opinion fine sir, would a simple lens flare even if it's kinda large, be considered a major element?

Edit: Dang I can't spell today... :-P

"kinda large"?? If it takes up 1/2 the photo, then it may be a major element. If it was large, what was behind it? When he removed the flare, did he have to add something to take it's place? If he removed a huge flare and added 1/2 a lake to take it's place, then it may be considered a major element.
Best bet would be to post before and after photos in the workshop folder and send links to a couple SC members (you can check in the 'who's online' section to see which of us are online) and we'll post it for SC review and be able to tell you from the pics. We can't make a judgement without seeing the pics.

Give the results of recent voting, I don't think my opinion (humble or not) will do you too much good. My best advice would be to look at the results of the last several challenges, and see which photos were DQ'd and why ...
