Not an important feature for photography, but for the community, how about if the "news" area of the site lists whose birthday it is? Or at least a little birthday cake in their profile on their special day, automatic of course.

I think it's a dandy idea...but I don't know how important it is -- I think it might take a bit of programming from someone who's already pretty busy you know? I guess if someone is bored and is looking for something to do, it would be a nice addition.

Yep I think it would be really nice...
Though there are so many inactive members it would be really nice to also have a feature showing whether a member is active or inactive (according to whether they have logged on in, say, the last 3 months) and only include birthday wishes for active members!
