Hi my buddy has the 350D and yesterday tried taking some shots in RAW format. The photos displayed on the LCD fine but when trying to tranfer them to Adobe CS2 it says this file is corrupt or not recognised (Unknown format).
Now when it takes the file it shows it is a CR2 file exactly the same as it does on my 20D, yet adobe opens up my shots for processing but wont from shots taken on his camera.
Anyone experienced this before? If so what is the problem? Human or mechanical?
Any help will be appreciated. |

Have you tried getting Camera Raw updates from the Adobe website? I believe that the 350 files became supported by CS2 much later than the 20D. Alternatively, if you are using a PC, you could download Rawshooter Essentials (free) or could try processing the RAW files with the software that came with the camera, just to make sure that the files are not corrupt.

The problem is almost certanly the version of Adobe Camera Raw. You need version 3.1. You can download it from the Adobe website, it will be a free update.
