Continuing on this very popular thread: //www.dpchallenge.com/forum.php?action=read&FORUM_THREAD_ID=208567

Wife is now 19 weeks pregnant and we went in for the second ultrasound and wanted to find out the baby's sex. I don't want to brag, but the female tech operating the ultrasound machine gave a loud "Oh my!" when she found what she was looking for, if ya know what I mean. LOL

Anywho - here's the latest baby portrait...

I thought for sure it would be a girl, but I'm pretty relieved actually. Boys are much easier to raise. :)

Congrats -- very exciting!

On a technical note, though, I would have panned a little to the right, and keep in mind that the addition of text would be illegal here... :)

I know - and it's a little bit noisy - I tried to use NI, but lost too much detail. :)

Hey... congrats... you'll have the time of your life... mine is now 14 months and running after him is a chore...

Good luck and I can tell you that it's been a very exciting for us and as I presume you'll be taking lots of pictures. Just going back a month or two in pictures at that age if fun, they grow up so fast. Just looking at a photo from only 3 months ago and it's like who's that kid because they change so much so fast.

Congrats again and good luck ;-)

Yeah - Like we are likely to believe ANY image of yours as being real...

Congrats BTW!

Well I wasn't going to post this one for fear of violating the ToS, but I thought it was funny the way the lady put the arrow and text in this one that she printed for us. This is the underside of the baby - least that's what she says.

It was actually pretty amazing seeing the spine and hands and stuff. And the baby had the hiccups, so that was fun to watch. :)

ps - I have submitted the original source ultrasound images to the SC for validation since Brad clicked the big red link. :P

Very big congrats. I take it that once the baby comes you'll swith the Enquirer to a quarterly publication (since you won't have any time on your hands once the kids born).

Don't you love when they do that!! I don't know about raising a girl, but my boys have been pretty darn easy so far. Congratulations Ken, can't wait to see the baby pictures! :-)

BTW, Brad that little baby is so darn adorable. :-)

Thanks all. This will be the fifth child we will have raised (assuming I survive). My next youngest son turns 13 tomorrow, the other 3 are adults - in the legal sense anyway. :)

I am excited, cuz I have the most fun with kids between 1 and about 8.

CONGRATS!! I know you are so excited, if you go for any more ultra sounds now they can add captions and stuff, if you have a nice tech, I had like 8 pics of my daughter before she was born, one was just her hand like she was waving, think it said "hi" or something. New Life is so awesome!!!

Congrats and Best of Luck.

Now hand your camera to your wife and go do the housework so she can get a little extra rest...or is it so she can take photos of you doing housework...lol

Oh also go invest in a point and shoot before the big day...the nurses will take photos of you and your wife in the labor and delivery stages if you have a point and shoot digital. I have photos of Dad in a yellow paper gown heading to the OR for our sons baby book just to give you an idea of the extras we got from the nurses.

I was planning on getting a 20D, a light meter, a fisheye lens, and setting up some Alien Bees. The nurses will begin their photography training four weeks in advance. LOL

Thanks Anna, Kelly, Kevin, Michael, Roland, JB, Angie, Jen, Nathan and the rest. It's been a rough couple years (I shall henceforth refer to as the dark ages) and my wife had a miscarriage last year, so she is pretty nervous. Things are looking better lately and I appreciate and value everyone here at my "only means of escape" :)
