Did a day trip to see a friend in St.Catharines,ON,CA.

It's a fairly large city with a lot of open spaces, and a blend of old and new architecture. It also has a bohemian feel to it.

Here's some of the best I snapped with my SD110 (with the exception of 2, which are going into the next challenges.)

Hope you enjoy.

PS The last 2 of the series scared me a bit, I was snapping a pic up an alleyway just as a cop ran by responding to an alarm. He had his hand on his gun, and I'm glad he didn't look down to see me pointing my cam at him or he may have reacted.

I should also mention that none of the photos were cropped, and nothing but unsharp mask was applied to a couple of them. i'm trying to post all of my shots out of the camera, feels more satisfying to me.

My condolenses to your friend for having to live in St. Catherines. I guess it's a nice place to live if you're a drug dealer, though. Not that your friend is. I live a safe distance away, but close enough to have a strong opinion that your last two photos (great catch by the way!) typify that town. I like your third & fourth shots as well, and that brew house shot is neat too. I'm glad you didn't get mugged.

the place actually has a lot of hidden charm. just like any city, I suppose there's places within it to stay away from.

thanks for the comments. cheersch!

Much better. One more on the second line and I won't have to horizontal scroll at all.

I'll comment on the images when I get a chance.
