I changed my submission at the last minute. Here is the one I rejected.

I like the gentle transluscence of the petals and the background.

I love the background colors. Feels like something is missing.

Nice pics Greg, very good.

I like the scientific glassware pictures because they've got a very real purpose to them (but I'm biased because I work with it), I prefer the 1st image because it's a bit more unusual, and the condensation on the green conical flask in the 2nd is a bit distracting. On the whole, very nice.

P.s. I also really liked Sunflowers entry to the glass challenge here

The funny thing about the pictures I posted here was that I put a lot more work into them than the one that I actually entered. I was having a big mental block and couldn’t decide what I wanted to take a picture of for the challenge. I came up with my outtakes but after I looked at them I found them to be sort of boring even though I think they meet the challenge well. As I was cleaning up the glassware after my picture taking session something caught my eye. I snapped a couple of very quick pics of it and it ended up being my actual entry. I really wasn’t happy with my outtakes but I was thrilled with my actual submission. I guess that just goes to show that the final image is all that counts, not how much work you put into it.
