So... my name is josef and i am looking for a good pocket digital camera. i dont know much about cameras, so your input will be well recieved. im looking for a camera that is small enough to fit in a pocket, around 4MP+, accepts sd memory cards, rechargable (lithium preferably), VERY durable (i will need this for road trips and such), good quality pictures, protected lcd, 3x optical zoom, video (with sound), and not to expensive. I know this is a lot to have you all look for, but im guessing that you all have a pretty good idea what it is that i should buy. Thanks for your voices!

Canon SD300. Takes amazing pictures for what it is, has great video recording and takes SD cards. You can buy them for around $275.00 online at places like buydig.com.

Also really good for taking zoo pictures. ;)

My Canon Powershot A400 is a great little camera and lives up to your stated expectations; however it has 3.2MP.
