I don't see why we should all pay $12 bucks each to meet at the Swan House when we can meet somewhere else for free of where we can take photos. What is the word.

Me and my friend Eden will be there. Well, definetly me... maybe my friend.
I'm all for the parade. Although we'll most likely have to pay for parking downtown, although it shouldn't be $12. :-) If we'll be downtown, let's do Centennial park (the fountain) as well if we're close enough and people don't mind walking. And there's always MARTA. Then maybe we can head over to Piedmont park. Looks like it just might be us few, Rex and Kevin. Hopefully more will chime in over the next couple of days. I'll try to find a good meeting place unless someone is really familiar with the area of the parade.

I've checked out the parade route and it looks like it starts at Woodruff Park at 10:00am and heads down Peachtree st. to the Hyatt. They say the parade should be around 30-45 min. I'm still looking but Underground Atlanta is not far from the park and there are a couple of parking garages there. It's $8.00/day to park there and it could be a good place to meet, maybe up by the World of Coke sign?? I'll do a little more investigating. Another good thing is this is right on the MARTA line so we could use it to go other places if we wanted and wouldn't have to worry about moving our cars.
There are also parking lots all over that area, you may be able to find one for cheaper but I wouldn't know where to tell you to go. But the world of Coke sign is very visible so you know you're in the right area if you want to look around for cheaper places.

The parade Muster is in Woodruff Park beginning at 9:30. I can imagine half the 501st Stormtroopers playing chess with the regular Woodruff crowd. The con itself is mostly at the Hyatt.
The World of Coke isn't far from Woodruff. The parking lot on MLK right next to WoC is $5/day, though that may be only on weekdays. The Five Points MARTA station is right on Woodruff Park; the Georgia State station is a few blocks from WoC. |

Let's set a meeting time say around 9:45am near the Coke sign then? Then trek on up to Woodruff. We can follow the parade route or just shoot them at the park. And from there, just tool around downtown, centennial park, CNN center, maybe hop on the MARTA to check out some other places? There are also lots of restaurants in the area, Hard Rock, Hooters, Mick's and many others so if hunger strikes we'll be good to go.
If that time doesn't work for anyone, post here and let us know.

Underground Atlanta Map
Check out this map. on the Upper Level - Level 3 which is the street level there is a Hagen Daz right next to the Entrance Pavillion on Peachtree street. What do ya say we meet here? I thought there was a big Coke sign here also, but the actual world of Coke is on the other side of the Underground. So that may be confusing.
That'll work yeah?

I don't think Kiro will be able to make it, I PM'd him earlier and he had some things going on.... there was a very slim chance, but probably not. He's got my number if he is able to come last minute.
