The results of some photoshopping tonight on my friend's CD cover concept.
This was largely experimental, to show myself how it can be done. It's obviously very crude and could be improved upon numerous ways.
Inspired by the early Pink Floyd release "Ummagumma." |

Drop the black border.... use an ornate picture frame...so it looks like it was hanging. Then in the background pic of the backgroun pic add a rogh hewn frame
just my thoughts. |

i agree.. the borders look out of place on the brick wall. if it was a picture frame or a poster frame, it would look more convincing. |

Absolutely right on. That's one of the compromises I made tonight because I couldn't quickly locate good frame-art. Anybody know a good quick source for stuff like that?? |

OK, re-edited this photo now to include real picture frames:
After searching in vain for picture frame-art on the internet, I made my own. I photographed the corners of every framed piece of art in our house, and patiently reconstructed the frames in photoshop at extremely high resolution so I can have them on standby for whenever I need them. If anyone wants to see the frame examples, let me know. |
