National Geographic is sponsoring a contest for kids between the ages of 9 and 14.
Galapagos Adventure Contest

"1. Take a photo of a place in your community"

"2. In 100 - 200 words tell us how you actively explore it and the most interesting things you have found there"

"3. Entries must be postmarked by October 31, 2005 Open to kids who will be ages 9 to 14, May 13-22, 2006"

I'd sign my daughter up, except she's only five.
