I will admit that my zoo SUCKS. Not only is there not much there to begin with, but the animals that they did have were hiding from the hot sun. I got maybe 2 shots good enough to submit.
This was my outake, which I didn't use because I thought a flamingo was boring:

Okay, the reason it may be "boring" is we have all been to a zoo before and have seen most of these animals before. That is why trick is quality and originality here. But I love quality animal shots.

I'm enjoying the vote so far. There are a lot of fun shots and not a bad little variety considering most zoo's have the same animals. If there were 300-500 entries I'd might feel a bit different.

I don't think it's boring at ALL! I think there are some awesome shots here. I went once, and only got 2 shots because like JayWalk said, they were all wisely hiding from the suffocating heat. But then I went back after it had rained, and got a great shot that 2 people have already picked as favorites. Course, I am a psycho animal lover, so I could never get bored looking at photos of animals. I love them! Even the bad, over-exposed or blurry ones have something in the eyes that touch me.

Personally I've found a lot of interesting shots... :)
...and well...I think animals shots are always wonderful, and never boring... :) |
